Warranty Information

All tires sold by The Tire Man include the tire manufacturer's warranty for defects in materials or workmanship. There is no additional road hazard coverage.

Manufacturer Warranty Only

Every tire we sell is backed by the tire manufacturer's warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects only – issues with how the tire was made – and is typically discovered during installation or shortly after.

What the Manufacturer Warranty Covers

The manufacturer's warranty applies when a tire has a verifiable manufacturing defect. These are issues that exist from the factory, not problems caused by use, impact, or vehicle condition.

  • Tires that cannot be properly balanced during installation
  • Tires that are determined to be out of round
  • Other defects confirmed by a licensed mechanic as a manufacturing issue

What You Need for a Full Replacement

For a full replacement under the manufacturer's warranty, the tire manufacturer requires clear documentation of the defect.

  • Written documentation from a licensed mechanic
  • A description of the specific defect (for example, cannot be balanced, out of round)
  • Return of the defective tire to The Tire Man so it can be submitted with the claim

What's Not Covered

  • Any form of road hazard damage, including nails, glass, potholes, or other objects on the road
  • Broken belts, ripped beads, or damage caused during mounting or by vehicle issues
  • Uneven or premature wear caused by misalignment, suspension problems, or lack of maintenance
  • Any damage resulting from accidents, misuse, or neglect
  • Cosmetic issues that do not affect the safe performance of the tire

The Tire Man does not offer any additional warranty or road hazard coverage beyond the tire manufacturer's warranty.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

1

Visit a Licensed Mechanic

If you suspect a defect, have the tire inspected by a licensed mechanic. Ask for written documentation describing the issue and confirming it is a manufacturing defect (for example, out of round or unable to be balanced).

2

Contact Us

Bring the defective tire, your proof of purchase, and the mechanic's documentation back to The Tire Man. Our team will help you start the warranty claim process with the tire manufacturer.

3

Tire Inspection

We will inspect the tire and documentation and submit all required information to the tire manufacturer for review.

4

Claim Processing

The tire manufacturer will make the final decision on your claim. If they approve a full replacement, you'll receive a new tire at no cost. If they offer a partial adjustment, they will determine the terms of any credit.

Our Role in Your Warranty Claim

Warranty claims are decided solely by each tire manufacturer. The Tire Man's role is to assist you by gathering and submitting the required documentation on your behalf.

We are committed to providing exemplary customer service throughout the warranty process. However, abusive behaviour or threats toward our staff will not be tolerated. If this occurs, your warranty claim will be closed immediately without further response.
